I have done my first investment during the middle of this journey just to get my foot in and try to see how it feels, I have made plenty of small mistakes along the way, but I am able to see how to operate those applications and feel that it easier to understand than just reading it.

My first investment was Crypto right after the Luna crash it was all over social media, and I thought it was a good time to get in when everything is dropping, in the beginning, I was earning money but because it fluctuates a lot, I could be wining today but losing the next moment. The second was NFT because I thought I wanted to explore that area as a technology person and what better time to get in when I already invested in crypto (because you need crypto to buy NFT) I bought a few. The third was Grab Investment service with UOB and Fullerton fund management. This was sort of a robot advisor but there is only one plan. All three of these investments lost me money grabs by a few per cent Crypto nearly half and NFT depend on the supply and demand. Lastly, I have also invested in the MooMoo trading app which did not earns me profit by my trading but by cashback and rewards irony enough.

I also did use MooMoo paper trading to measure and try to experience a riskier investment with higher capital at 3 dates listed in the table below limited to 5 purchases.

Money & Date

Purchase 1

Purchase 2

Purchase 3

Purchase 4

Purchase 5

1,000,000 - $53,193 (BTC) + $1,550 (US10Y)

(July 22) - $8000 (Ezoo) + $56,350 (RBLX) +$8,000 (S08) = $1,004707 (July 22)

20,000 unit

June 22 (S08 SingPost $0.64)

Reflections:

I am very proud to say I have achieved my original goal of starting to invest though I did make some losses but it little in capital and I am able to learn a lot more than just watching videos or reading books/blogs. I am able to see in action how crypto and NFT work together and how people start innovating their new ideas into it which was very intriguing. Using the Grab robot advisor, I also realise how easy it is just to put your money without thinking and seeing the graph is so satisfying. Lastly using MooMoo trading app is so different and quite confusing for a beginner because of the numerous amounts of stock and their report and information that is overwhelming, but MooMoo also has a huge library of content to teach their users which were very helpful in addition they also give points to reward users for reading which is very addicting.

Using MooMoo paper trading I am able to experience trading without actually doing it which is very helpful for a beginner just to get the basics and test your hypothesis for example I was very surprised when the treasury notes for the US and Italy drop by quite a lot because I would usually think that they would rise and not drop by a lot because of the security back by the government with that information now I will be wary of it in real life.

I can also see how I think and my growth over time as an individual although I limited myself to 5 purchases because I am able to present better this way. In the initial, I was just randomly buying stuff to test it out, my second round I bought more of the treasury notes and sold off all that lost me money because I thought that treasury notes will be safer with the current situation, and the third round I hold on with my investment as advised by my interviewee who told me I should invest for the long term.
